National Film Archive of Japan celebrates 90 years of Toho Studios with “Yowa mushi chin-sen-gumi” (1938), “Kimi no namae wa” (2016), Ishirō Honda’s “Gojira” (1954) and Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai” (1954) as well as
"Nihon chin-botsu” (1973) based on Sakyo Komatsu's disaster novel Japan Sinks which pictures the country as it falls into the sea, beginning with an erupting volcano!
